Umpire clinics open to all PDF Print E-mail

As we are getting ready for the 2010 Baseball and Softball season at North Kitsap Little League we are looking for those that would like to Umpire.  We find that we have fewer Umpires every year. So we ask for your help. In a league the size of North Kitsap Little League it would seem that we could find more than the four or five parents that are willing to help Umpire. We have training clinics with some of the best Umpires in the area many of them Umpire High school and College games. Our next clinic dates are March 17th and 19th at Snider  park 7pm to 9pm we will cover rules. Then on March 27th at North Kitsap High School in the commons we will have a mechanics clinic, this clinic will last for most of the day the league will supply a pizza lunch for those that attend.

North Kitsap Little League Expands it Borders PDF Print E-mail

North Kitsap Little League recently received permission to expand its southern border.  This will give us the ability to offer the Little League program in areas of Kitsap County that have never had a Little League program.  In the future, if there is enough interest in the new areas this added area may become a league of its own.

So what was added you ask?  The southern boundary of North Kitsap National now extends down Dyes Inlet, around Manette and back to Keyport thus picking up the east side of Silverdale, Tracyton, and East Bremerton.  The area west of Dyes Inlet is within the boundary of West Central Little League.

The new area offers new options for those families living in these communittees.  In particular, we are hoping to fill a void in the 16 to 18 year old baseball age bracket.  This is our Big League program which has been quite successful and is the division that District Two is hosting the Western Regional tournament for this July.
